Okay, so this is a fun mani that I did for the Fourth! I thought it was super cute until my boyfriend asked me what the things on my pointer, middle and pinky finger were! So for those of you that can't tell, they're balloons! Haha...maybe my nails just aren't long enough to pull that off. Anyways, I think I might do another 4th of July mani since this one failed PLUS my top coat smeared the design on the ring and pinky fingers! Grrrrr!!!!
What do you guys think?

Cosmetic Arts Frenzy
Hiiii!
Ok...so first I must apologize for not blogging for like 2 weeks. Shame on me! I've just been very busy and haven't really made the time to post, buuuut I have something very pretty for you today that I did a while back. I hope you like it. :)
Introducing Cosmetic Arts frenzy (I think). I found this at Ross Dress for Less a couple of weeks ago for $2.99!! Ross gets a variety of different professional polishes in every now and then (including Color Club, Cosmetic Arts and Borghese), and after finding out that Cosmetic Arts is made by the same company as Color Club I had to try it! Ross always has awesome pricing on their polishes, but the downside is that they never have labels, which can be very frustrating! After a little bit of research though, I am 99% confident that this is "Frenzy".
Frenzy is a beautiful, bright purple creme that applied with pretty good coverage after two coats, but I added a third for good measure. I also added a bundle monster stamp from their new collection (BM 203) using Sally Hansen's insta-dri whirlwind white. This design kind of reminds me of a bottle cap, so I shall name this mani "Grape Pop".
Okie dokie then, that's it! :) I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Finger Paints Chroma Coral
Happy Friday Everybody!
Today I chose to review Finger Paints Chroma Coral which I just recently bought at Sally's when I was visiting one of my good friends in Oregon. I was sooooo happy to get to visit a Sally's as there are none where I live, so it was an awesome treat and I got some really sweeeet polishes!
I LOVE the Finger Paints brand, and wish I would have bought some more while I was in Oregon. I bought two FP polishes, Chroma Coral and Guggen I'm Lime, which I thought would be a nice addition to my brights. Boy was I right! I love how they are both sooooo bright, yet shimmery at the same time. I will definitely have to review Guggen I'm Lime later. :)
Chroma Coral is very pigmented and has a goldish shimmer to it. I applied 3 thin coats and wore it for about 4 days with no chipping, which I think is pretty good considering I was doing dishes and what-not. I love the bling that I used in the manicure, and feel like it is a fun twist for a summer-y color.
Enjoy!
I know the shimmeries aren't showing up that well, but trust me, they're there! :D |
What do you think about Finger Paints Polish? Are there any colors that you've been really happy (or unhappy) about?
Well I hope you all have a good Holiday weekend! :D I'm hoping I'll get a cute 4th of July manicure up soon.

Orly "Green With Envy" & China Glaze "Passion"
Hello anyone who's reading, and welcome to my first "official" polish review! :)
Today I am wearing the lovely Orly "Green With Envy" and a Bundle Monster image from plate BM 222 using China Glaze's "Passion".
Here's what it looks like...

"Green With Envy" is a jelly-type polish that dries with high gloss. Honestly, I almost forgot to put on a top coat (I used seche vite) before I did the nail stamping portion...that's how glossy it was! The formula was a little bit thin on the first coat, but after the second I felt that it was right on target with the bottle color, so I stopped there. For me it applied pretty easily, as most Orly polishes that I own do. It seems like Green With Envy has a really wonderful formula that is highly pigmented and applies with even layers.
Now onto China Glaze's "Passion"! This little, golden bottle of joy does a superb job when used for nail stamping. In fact, I've found that most China Glaze metallic polishes are really wonderful nail stamping polishes. They dry quick and they just about "pop" on every base color! I LOVE IT!
After completing my manicure and ogling at it for a while, I couldn't help but realize how much it reminds me of the ocean. I live in Hawaii and this manicure specifically reminds me of the tide pools in Hilo. The image that I used even looks like little hooks or lures! In my opinion it's such a calm/relaxing manicure! I'm really happy with it. :)

Who I am and what am I doing...
Ok, so here's the dealio...
My name is Jillian and up until New Years 2011 I was a nail biter. I know...disgusting, right? I decided that for my new years resolution I would stop biting my nails...and I mean STOP...because even I was getting disgusted with myself. Anywho, my dream was to have nice, beautiful, strong nails and the only way to achieve this dream was to have them polished all the time. The good news is that within the last 6 months I have pretty much kicked my bad habit. YAY! The bad news is that I have also picked up a new habit...nail polish addiction.
I'd say that for the first three months of my "no nail biting resolution" I was pretty good about just lacquering up my nails and keeping them away from my teeth, but then as I was shopping for some new polishes at my local Walmart I realized that I was getting sooo sick of seeing tons of pink (don't get me wrong...I still love pink polish), so I decided to do some online research and basically found a HUGE nail polish community out there! Who woulda thunk it? Let me just say that from that moment on I have been on a serious nail polish spending spree, and have accumulated over a hundred polishes since then. I know, that's a lot of polish in a short period of time, but what can I say? I LOVE IT!
So with that said, this blog will be devoted to nail polish and all things that make doing nails fun! I plan on doing manicures with all of the polish that I have accumulated within the last couple of months as a way to help myself keep an inventory and for your viewing pleasure. I also intend on including a lot of manicures using bundle monster (nail stamping) images and nail art. I am by NO MEANS and expert in nail polish application and would very much enjoy any feedback that you can give me, and I will of course be more than happy in answering any questions that you may have (to the best of my ability).
Alright...so I guess I'm really doing this! :D Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this silly intro entry!
